Middle school student -
1.) How do you balance social life and academics? (He didn't know how to answer, so I don't think this is relevant to him.)
2.) Do you eat breakfast? Yes.
3.) Do you keep a daily planner? No.
4.) Do you plan on going to college? Yes.
5.) Do you plan on taking college classes in high school? Yes, probably.
6.) What do you hope to gain in college? Why go? I want a good education for life and I want a good degree so I can be first pick for job offers.
7.) What do you expect college to be like? Full of hard work.
8.) How do you plan on paying off college debt? I don’t plan to get in college debt.
9.) How are you going to stay out of debt? I’m going to try to work hard in high school and get credits there so I won’t have to pay as much for classes after I graduate.
This student seems to have a plan of what he wants to do in high school. He knows he wants to take classes and get ahead. He said he doesn't plan to get into debt in the first place by taking college classes in high school, I also asked him how he knows about the possibility of taking college courses in high school and he said it was because his dad tells him about it. So it is possible if his father wasn't looking into this he would not be thinking this far ahead on his own. Overall I am glad to see that he is thinking about this opportunity and eager to get ahead and stay out of debt. To me these answers mean that he is thinking ahead and school is important to him. I wasn't really thinking about college at this young of an age, so maybe he is excited to go to school, or maybe he is excited to get it over with.

1.) How do you balance social life and academics? I put academics first and socialize with the time after.

3.) Do you keep a daily planner? No.

5.) Did you take college classes in high school? No.
6.) What do you hope to gain in college? Why go? For the experience, I don’t want to have a full degree but taking some classes will give me some knowledge I need.
7.) Any regrets about your method of education? Yes, I wish I would've taken college classes.
8.) What do you expect college to be like? Stressful, and good.
9.) How do you plan on paying off college debt? I’m not going to have a lot because I’m not going to be taking many classes.
This graduate seems to have plans other than college in her future. She says she wants to take some classes, to learn and gain experience, but she doesn’t want to take a full degree. Maybe she has other plans or already has a job lined up. She says she wished she would've taken classes in college classes in high school. It is interesting to me that even though she is not taking a full load of classes she thinks school will be stressful. Maybe she is nervous of being stressed out and that is part of the reason she doesn’t want to take full credits. In all, this student seems to have a pretty good plan of what she wants to do for her education, and is excited to take classes. To me, one thing stands out more than anything else. She says she puts academics over socializing even though she isn't taking classes to get a full college degree. I think that she doesn't think a full degree is necessary for the life she plans on leading. Usually I would think of someone like this as uneducated or unmotivated, but now I see that some people just have other plans and goals, and I am glad I was able to realize that.
